The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has highlighted 12 types of work permits available to registered establishments in the UAE, offering options tailored to different categories of workers and employment arrangements.
In a social media post, the ministry said employers can obtain permits to recruit workers from outside the UAE, transfer employees between establishments, or hire residents sponsored by their families.
Businesses can also make use of temporary and mission work permits for specific short-term assignments and time-bound projects.
For more flexible working arrangements, establishments can apply for part-time work permits, enabling workers to take up employment with more than one employer after receiving ministry approval.
The range of permits also supports younger members of the workforce. Special permits are available for juveniles aged 15 to 18 and for students seeking training and employment opportunities under specified terms and conditions.
MoHRE said employers can also hire UAE and GCC nationals through dedicated permits, while separate work permits are available for Golden Visa holders and UAE nationals undertaking training programmes aligned with their academic qualifications.
In addition, the ministry offers a private teacher work permit, allowing qualified specialists to provide individual or group lessons.
According to MoHRE, the variety of permit options helps establishments meet their workforce requirements while ensuring compliance with the UAE's labour laws and regulations.
